Ram boys compete in Tiger Relays, place fifth of 11 teams

The Greene County boys track team took part in the Carroll Tiger Relays last Thursday, taking fifth place.

Nathan Black won first place in the high jump and was the lone first place Ram finish for the evening. Second place finishers were the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle relay, 4×100 meter relay, and 4×200 meter relay. 

High jump – Nathan Black, 5’ 10”, first; Lane Fields, 5’ 6”, seventh.

Long jump – Bryce Stalder – 20’ 0.5”, third; Richard Daugherty, 19’ 8.5”, fourth.

Discus – Jesse Miller, 135’ 9”, fourth; Isaac Carman, 116’ 3”, 12th.

Shot put – Broc Hannan, 38’ 9”, 12th; Jace Wilson, 36’ 2.25”, 16th.

400 meter hurdles – Lane Fields, 1:06.91, 12th.

100 meter dash – Camden Strennen, 12.18, fourth; Jesse Miller, 12.20, fifth.

200 meter dash – Matthew Hovick, 27.05, 19th.

400 meter dash – Patrick Graham, 1:05.45, 21st; Bryce Habben, 1:08.49, 23rd.

800 meter run – Ethan Larsen, 2:16.20, seventh; Aidyn Winters, 2:55.12, 19th. 

1600 meter run – Logan Woodruff, 5:24.04, 15th.

3200 meter run – Logan Woodruff, 11:16.65, eighth.

4×110 meter shuttle hurdle – Richard Daugherty, Nathan Black, Bryce Stalder, Jackson Morton, 1:06.23, second. 

4×100 meter relay – Camden Strennen, Jackson Morton, Bryce Stalder, Jesse Miller, 44.87, second. 

4×200 meter relay – Camden Strennen, Jackson Morton, Bryce Stalder, Jesse Miller, 1:34.44, second.

4×400 meter relay – Eli Mohr, Brian Burris, Gavyn Winters, Noah Hinote, 3:58.95, ninth. 

4×800 meter relay – Gavyn Winters, Camden Jacobs, Kendall Freeman, Dante Crotzer, 10:18.24, 11th.

800 meter medley relay – Eli Mohr, Matthew Hovick, Brian Burris, Ethan Larsen, 1:48.11, ninth.

Distance medley – Lane Fields, Kaiden Burbank, Nick Stream, Noah Hinote, 4:11.99, seventh.

Team scores: Lewis Central 120; Atlantic 72; Ogden 61; Harlan 58; Greene County 54; Kuemper Catholic 46; Gilbert 43; Boone 40; Denison-Schleswig 38; Carroll 34; Creston 23.

The team was scheduled to compete again on Monday at Gilbert High School and Tuesday at Woodward-Granger’s Hawk Stadium.
